Applications are now open for SoLa’s Multimedia Podcasting Pre-Apprenticeship, a hands-on, PAID program for emerging LA creatives ages 18-30 interested in podcasting, audio, livestreaming, video, unscripted media production, etc.
Running September 21–December 8, 2026, participants will develop original podcast projects, gain experience in interviewing, audio engineering, camera operation, editing, livestreaming, marketing, and audience development, and work on real client-directed productions connected to Lauren Halsey, iHeartRadio, and Tavis Smiley. Midway through the program, participants will transition into recurring on-the-job training, rotating through professional roles, such as producer, audio engineer, camera operator, editor, and production assistant.
Participants will leave with completed projects, professional portfolio materials, and experience aligned with the Arts2Work Registered Apprenticeship pathway and careers across media production. Interested in building real-world experience in podcasting and multimedia production?
