AIE & BRIC: Introduction to BRIC Digital Badges

In this webinar, Dr. Darlene Edouard of the BRIC Foundation will present an overview of BRIC Digital Badges and the standardized grading rubrics used to evaluate them. These industry-recognized skills certifications are reviewed and awarded by industry recruiters and help demonstrate verified abilities across the Arts, Media, Entertainment, and Technology sectors. The session will explore how submissions are assessed against standardized grading rubrics based on the California Department of Education Career Technical Education (CTE) Model Curriculum Standards, and how this evaluation framework enables consistent, competency-based assessment of technical and creative skills. Participants will gain insight into how BRIC’s badge structure provides clear pathways for workforce development, supports career readiness, and helps educators and learners understand industry-aligned standards across job-specific skill areas including animation, visual design, technical pipeline, audio, production management, and more.
